WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
"I could not have asked for better service before or after. In today's market, a lot of other businesses should take lessons from you. Dealing with you has been a pleasure."
The Villages, FL
"We suffered a lightning strike to our home and lost everything. Went online under lightning protection systems and found Capitol Electronics and the CMCE system. After checking other systems, we found the CMCE unit to be the most reliable, and they answered all my questions and concerns. It is the newest technology and has a great track record. It was a no-brainer!"
The Villages, FL
"The CMCE is performing well; lightning struck 250 feet away, and there have been zero strikes on my property. By now, I would have had 4 or 5 strikes on my property."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will I see the system?
Unlike traditional lightning rods, which require multiple rods mounted every few feet and interconnected with a complex network of wires, the CMCE system consists of just one compact device mounted on a 3–6 ft aluminum mast that blends seamlessly with the sky. Only a single grounding wire is required. This system provides full protection without cluttering or covering your entire roof like a conventional lightning rod installation would.
How is it grounded?
The CMCE unit is installed at the highest point of the structure and connected to a Delta grounding system in the ground with a 2/0 jacketed copper wire.
What makes CMCE technology different from traditional lightning rods?
Unlike conventional rods that attract lightning strikes, CMCE technology suppresses the electrical conditions that cause lightning, preventing strikes before they occur and offering proactive protection.
How do I know it is working?
You'll know the CMCE system is fully operational once you receive the completed installation inspection sheet after the project is finished. You can also verify system performance using a clamp fluke meter to measure the ohms and milliamps on the grounding wire - these steps, along with maintenance instructions, will be provided after installation.
What is the typical lifespan of the CMCE unit?
The CMCE Lightning Suppressor has been around for 24 years, and when properly maintained, it is expected to last at least that long - potentially longer, though its maximum lifespan has yet to be determined.
Can it go on tile or metal roofs?
Yes, the CMCE system can be installed on both tile and metal roofs. We use jacketed grounding wire so the system does not interfere with the structure.
How long does it take to install?
Residential installations typically take one day for our certified installers to complete.
Does it require power?
The CMCE system does not require any external power source, as it contains internal capacitors that allow it to operate continuously through its connection to a Delta grounding system.
Are there certifications or proven results backing CMCE technology?
CMCE is UL-certified and has demonstrated over 20 years of successful field performance worldwide on commerical and residential properties of all sizes.
Do insurance companies offer discounts for installing the CMCE?
Insurance companies may offer discounts for having the CMCE system installed on your home; however, you'll need to contact your insurance provider directly to confirm, as policies and incentives vary by company.
